Republic of Moldova
Anna Odobescu was born in the city of Dubasari, Republic of Moldova, on November 3, 1991. From early childhood she was fascinated by music. She lost her father very early, and found consolation in the arts, so she graduated the instrument (accordion) class from a hometown school. In parallel, she also took singing lessons.
In 2011 she graduated from the A.Rubinstein College of Music in Tiraspol, specializing in pop and jazz singing. Four years later, she held the final exams at the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts in Chisinau, specializing in pop and jazz singing.
In 2014-2016 she was a canto teacher at the V.Poleacov Art School in Chisinau. In 2017 she graduated the Master classes from the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts in Chisinau.
She has won awards at various competitions:
2007- Grand Prize at the Tiraspol Discovery contest;
2012 - First prize at the Mărțișor Dorohoian contest;
2015 - First prize at the Two Twin Hearts contest in Chisinau;
2016 - Second prize at the Slavenschi Bazaar contest in Belarus;
This year, the Republic of Moldova was represented by Anna Odobescu at the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, with Stay.
Anna Odobescu is married to the soloist and composer Alexandru Vdovicenco, and says that she finds tranquility and inner peace in music.

Since I was a child I dreamed to sing on a big stage.

I like quality music, jazz, pop-rock, funk, soul.

4. What do you prefer to read / eat/do in your spare time.
I read detective novels. I try to eat healthy, but I am addicted to pizza and pasta, therefore I got o gym. I spend my spare time with my family and my son, Marcu.

I think I would like to be an actress.
6. How do you define happiness?
Happiness is the sum of all things that make us smile, be merry and feel good.

To conquer the world, you have to conquer yourself.
