Emeli Sande reveals „My Kind of Love” to the Romanian public at the Golden Stag 2019

The British artist will perform on the stage of the Festival, on Friday, August 23rd.

Emeli Sandé, one of the best voices of the last ten years in the United Kingdom, will perform at the Golden Stag. On Friday, August 23rd, at the end of the second day of contest, the artist will have her first performance on a Romanian stage.

With over 340 million online views, 19 million singles sold, out of which three were No.1 in the United Kingdom, four Brit Awards, author or co-author of songs written for great artists such as Alicia Keys, Katy Perry or Rihanna, Emeli Sandé is one of the most appreciated and loved stars in the musical industry.

Songs such as: My Kind Of Love, Next to Me, Read All about It, Beneath you’re Beautiful are only a few of her hits that could be heard on radios all throughout the world. These songs have made Emeli win for good the hearts and souls of the listeners.

Her artistic ascent started in 2009, when she released, together with the rapper Chipmunk, Diamond Rings, a song that went straight to the Top 10 UK Singles Chart.

Her debut album, Our Version of Events, released in 2012, has shortly reached number 1 in the United Kingdom, breaking at the same time a record held by the The Beatles with the highest number of weeks in top 10. She was awarded 7 platinum discs in Great Britain and Ireland. This album was the best-selling album of 2012 and 2013.

2012 was a fabulous one for Emeli, who performed in front of 80.000 spectators and millions of viewers at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Summer Games in London.

After a period of research and personal growth, Emeli comes back in the limelight with Long Live the Angels, an album which received the most recent Brit Awards, in 2017. The following year, the British Royal House honoured her with an MBE for her contribution in the musical industry.

Shortly after the performance in Brasov, the famous artist will release her third album Real Life, which includes the single “Extraordinary being”, from the soundtrack of the movie X-Men: Dark Pheonix.

The Golden Stag 2019, taking place from August 22 to August 25, will be a complex romantic edition for all preferences and a variety of rythms! There will be lots of performances to be made into unforgettable memories. This year, we will see on stage in Piaţa Sfatului artists such as Ronan Keating, Emeli Sande, Irina Rimes and Ştefan Bănică jr.

Besides the performances of the special guests, 12 finalists of the international interpretation contest will strive to win one of the awards amounting to a total of 55 000 euro.

For this year’s finalists, TVR has prepared a format with 2 days of contest, an Award Ceremony and other related events.

At the end of the festival, we will have the chance to watch a folk show reuniting Romanian traditional folk music and a modern mix of this musical genre.

The event will be broadcast live and exclusively by the Romanian Television.

The organisers put on sale several categories of tickets for the four days of the Festival – Golden Stag Club, VIP, Category 1, Category 2 and Category 3 and subscriptions, with prices starting from 70 de lei. These are available on Eventim.ro, UPC.ro and in the network of the partner stores: Vodafone, Telekom, Carrefour, OMV gas stations, and in Cărtureşti, Diverta and Humanitas bookshops. Also, the tickets can be bought from the Eventim ticket offices from Cluj – Iulius Mall and from Bucharest - Cinema PRO. The tickets can be bought with the option of being delivered by courier (companies specialised in delivering packages), they can be picked up from the ticket office, print-at-home (in PDF format) or in e-ticket format (ticket on the mobile phone) with 0 costs.
